SatixFy’s wideband SDR modem technology combines fast DSP logic, programmable DSPs, and co-processors. This unique blend delivers both flexible implementation and high processing bandwidth while maintaining low power consumption. The flexible architecture enables the implementation of various waveform standards on the same hardware through software adjustments. Additionally, existing hardware can be adapted to accommodate modified waveforms.
DVB-S2x is the latest and best version of the DVB satellite modems that has dominated space communications for decades. Specially designed for space communication, featuring a very long, near Shannon performance, LDPC coding, high order modulation (up to 256APSK) and low roll-off (down to 5%), it provides the best communication performances for space.
DVB-RCS2 standard is specially designed for VSAT return channel. It features multi frequency time domain multiple access (MF-TDMA) that allows multiple user terminals to communicate with the hub simultaneously.
The technology highlights of SatixFy DVB-S2x and DVB-RCS2 are:
- Full DVBS2x compliance
- DSP based solution that allows modifications and feature addition per application (SDR)
- ELSNR: extremely low SNR version of DVBS2x (down to -20 dB)
- LEO/MEO Doppler compensation according to the ephemeris.
- Digital pre-distortion for power amplifiers with or without memory. Allows significant power saving (backoff reduction)
