Principal Systems Engineer/Manager

Established in 2012 by leading entrepreneurs in the satellite industry, SatixFy designs next-generation satellite communication systems based on in-house developed chipsets. With locations in Israel and the UK, SatixFy develops a line of satellite communication modems with Software Defined Radio (SDR) and Electronically Steered Multi Beam Antennas (ESMA) to support the most advanced standards, such as DVB-S2X. We have offices in Israel, United Kingdom.

Major Responsibilities

SatixFy UK is looking for an inspired and motivated engineer with strong Digital System and Wireless communication background to assist in Electronically Steerable Antenna Array development across various products/projects.

  • Provides technical and engineering leadership and supports the development of new technologies.
  • Able to oversee and guide problem solving of complicated technical challenges.
  • Enhancement of existing DSP algorithms and implementation of new algorithms in DSP
  • Work in close collaboration with other teams for design, development and commercialization of new features
  • Support testing and validation of algorithms and antenna performance in lab and field and be part of prototype and product demonstrations for clients.
  • Successful candidate should have demonstrable ability to lead projects and produce high quality technical documentation for internal and external purpose.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of wireless standards, radio, antenna and/or modem architectures
  • Good knowledge of RF, Digital and Mixed Signal processing
  • Strong experience with Physical layer systems algorithm and firmware development involving development of system models for solving complex signal processing problems involving wireless communication channel and antenna arrays.
  • Excellent knowledge of digital signal processing techniques and modelling using Matlab
  • Experience in designing and/or assessing software, firmware and hardware solutions within an overall system design
  • Development experience with DSP and optimization of DSP codes
  • Programming/software engineering skills with knowledge of Matlab and Python
  • Hands-on knowledge of test equipment (Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyzer etc), setting up and running automated tests
  • Self-learning capabilities, adapt to changes and study new technical fields
  • Effective teamwork and collaboration skills

Education Requirements Preferred:   Master’s or PhD, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
