Physical Layer FW Engineer

Job description:

  • Develop Physical Layer firmware for satellite communication systems
  • Participate in the development of low level drivers, BSP in Bare metal or RTOS environment
  • Collaborate with HW team and participate in the early HW development and verification
  • Design of firmware architecture, from top-level down to block-level
  • Define and write high-level design documents for embedded MCUs/DSPs
  • Optimize and debug firmware for performance and throughput
  • Development in C, Assembly and core specific instructions


  • Sc in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in low-level real-time/embedded programming and firmware architectures
  • Embedded software development experience with C/C++
  • Basic digital signal processing knowledge
  • Experience with reading HW specifications and developing low level drivers
  • Knowledge of wireless communications standards an advantage
  • Self-learning capabilities, adapt to changes and study new technical fields
  • Effective teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Experience in lab work and testing equipment (JTAG, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of Matlab and Python – Advantage
