HW Engineering Manager
Responsibilities
The candidate will manage and expand an existing HW team responsible for developing products based on in house chipsets for the Satellite Communications industry. The job requires the candidate to work with teams based in many countries with different cultural backgrounds to develop products to specifications in a timely and cost competitive manner.
The candidate will perform the following:
- Lead a team of 6 HW designers and PCB designers
- Lead multiple concurrent Product and Module development projects.
- Coordinate product development with Systems, SW, DSP and RF groups.
- Take lead in design and development of PCBs in both Baseband and RF areas.
- Ensure developed products meet environmental, thermal, safety and EMI/EMC requirements.
Qualifications
10+ years of industry experience in HW Design
5+ years as a HW Engineering Manager
MSc. Or above in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Experience in design of products that contain the following:
- Antennas
- RF Up-converters and Down-converters
- Base band data processors
- Microcontrollers, FPGAs and Digital Signal processors.
- Network Interfaces
- Power supplies
Personal skills
- Ability to build a cohesive team
- Ability to work with cross cultural teams to produce results
- Proven leadership capabilities to motivate a team to deliver high quality results
