    Responsibilities

    Role Overview

    Lead the Design, development and support of a bespoke communications platform which integrates custom hardware with embedded software for deployment on our proprietary Linux based communication hub product.

    Responsibilities

    Leading the local team, the candidate will have the following responsibilities:

    • Lead Development & maintenance of software used by SatixFy products, based on high-level requirements.
    • Review and internalize customer requirements, build software architecture for them and guide engineers in implementing them.

    Role Overview

    Lead the Design, development and support of a bespoke communications platform which integrates custom hardware with embedded software for deployment on our proprietary Linux based communication hub product.

    Responsibilities

    Leading the local team, the candidate will have the following responsibilities:

    • Lead Development & maintenance of software used by SatixFy products, based on high-level requirements.
    • Review and internalize customer requirements, build software architecture for them and guide engineers in implementing them.
    • Pick and integrate of 3rd party software into a bespoke Linux-based software;
    • Lead communication and integration with other teams in the
    • Timely delivery of software to a variety of product lines integrating Linux server platforms and SatixFy modem chipsets;
    • Maintain code quality standards using industry-recognised tools;
    • Support automation tools and continuous integration methodologies;
    • Take ownership of issues on SatixFy products and engage with customers and suppliers as appropriate;
    • Produce documentation at all levels of lifecycle (concept, design, training material etc.);
    • Travel to customer sites & remote offices for product bring-up/support where necessary.

    Job Requirements

    • 5 or more years C and/or C++ commercial expertise;
    • Leadership experience of at least 2 years
    • Fluent English – speaking and writing
    • Experience of full lifecycle user-space software development on a Linux platform;
    • Optionally, some embedded software experience, preferably on ARM or similar microprocessors;
    • Optionally, communications system domain knowledge, e.g. cellular, satellite or similar;
    • TCP/IP expertise, across the full range of protocols, including performance enhancements;
    • Some knowledge of common internet approaches and protocols like: REST, MQTT, JSON, JWT, TLS etc.
    • Linux configuration and deployment, including use of VMs, fault detection and recovery;
    • Linux kernel expertise is not essential, but good to have;
    • Version Control e.g. GIT and/or SVN or similar.

    Landing station Platform Developer

    SatixFy has engaged with a leading customer that is building a cutting-edge Low Earth Orbit satellite constellation. As part of this engagement, SatixFy is building a state-of-the-art landing station / feeder link product to connect the satellite network with the internet cloud.

    The landing station is an edge network element controlling modem and RF component designed by SatixFy for satellite communication and meshing it to Metro Ethernet grade networking elements. Running on embedded Linux, the landing station will feature communication software to optimize the data throughput towards the satellite (and from it) and networking, security, and control plane applications to facilitate it as a point of presence in the customer back-bone terrestrial network.
