S-IDU Wideband DVB-S2X VSAT SDR Platform

The S-IDU is SatixFy’s satellite VSAT platform with industry leading performance and flexibility in a compact package. This platform is based on a Software Defined Radio approach, enabling equipment providers to build a unique and differentiated offering to their customers. The S-IDU supports the latest DVB-S2X standard with wideband signals up to 125MHz. The S-IDU also supports beam hopping with superframe structure (DVB-S2X Annex E) assuring future-proof migration to the next generation of satellite systems. Any forward or return link waveform can be programmed into the embedded DSP processors, ensuring delivery of any new waveforms or access schemes. A highly capable processing sub-system can deliver consumer and enterprise applications with layer 2 and above customization. The S-IDU is available with two gigabit ethernet data interfaces delivering close to one Gigabit of data.

SatixFy’s S-IDU is a VSAT modem platform designed for software feature development. The unit is a compact consumer package. Functionally the S-IDU is a complete VSAT modem physical layer terminal with the latest DVB-S2X (Annex E and M) and DVB-RCS2 standards capability. The design is based on the SX-3000’s SDR SoC ASIC. The S-IDU extended to a specific solution reduces CAPEX and OPEX using the latest technology.
